I liked Ronin because they used normal everyday cars that you would find in the streets of Paris; they didn't gratuitously use a £120,000 supercar just for shits and giggles.

Same with The Bourne Identity, where Maria gave Bourne a lift from Zurich to Paris in her 1989 Mini (which is later involved in some car chases).

Sad that this type of realism in films is becoming surprising...

He stole an old beemer on one of them and put fake plates on.

It was nice though to see humble saloons given a chance to shine on the big screen.

Hmm, going back to the "Bourne" films - now there's a trilogy where they got it right.

I saw the fist one, it was ok but I'm in no rush to watch any more of them.

Maybe something like a Chrysler 300 or Alfa 159 would look more mean.

Or they could completely update it and have them chasing around in hybrid cars. Briefly.

Grand Theft Auto: Thurso would involve very little action

From what I gather, the police up in Thurso have a weapons magazine which contains a gun.

Sounds like one of those police stations that only opens during office hours - "Help, I'm being murdered!" "I'm sorry but the station is now closed. Please call back during office hours. Thank you." "Gurgle, croak."

Reminds of the scene in Father Ted with the Garda (Police) sargent of the island.
He is looking through the rifle scope ready to shoot a sedative dart.

This is, of course, in stark contrast to the police force over at UKAEA Dounreay, the nuclear power station, just 10 miles out of Thurso. They are heavily armed and will shoot your ass dead, if you try any Grand Theft Auto-style anything, anywhere near the reactor establishment.

Back to the topic. I fitted them clips, the old ones especially the top one on the drivers side had no foam cushoning which is thick on the new ones, that must stop the rattles, the lower ones had some but i replaced them because the foam was a bit hard and past it. Then added a dollop of helmans, no wait a seam of tigerseal, tightened the torx screws up and here is what happened:


basically its sitting down much better, as for the actual pissing off squeak noise.

So there you go, now you know that if you want to cure that squeaky noise, thinking the problem is hard rubber seals, or dodgy window linings, its probably these screw in thingies, which also make the a pillar seal look a bit wonky and create wind noise on the motorway.
