The jeeps still at the mechanics, its booked in at the auto electricians some time next week call round and ill see what i can do sort of appointment. So still waiting on that, but it should be ready in time for wabbit season.
And the shed has been replaced, i got a 1 year old 14x12ft tongue and grrove for £550, cheaper than they can be made, and my 2 windows have been put into it. Its massive.

Re: The Car (and jeep)
the old shed:

a collection of ashes now.
So here is its replacement:

the windows i got make a big difference to the light levels:

the electrical work has started i got a roll of 50 meters:

the roof:

and the view out:

much nicer now, room for a car or two beside it, and much more room inside. I plan to use that high looking shed in the backround for painting in. But i will obviously need to create a dust free environment.

Nice shed that mate,
if someone had a shed like that round here theyd throw a bed in it and rent it out

Re: The Car (and jeep)
The luxuriously trimmed interior of my jeep:

The seats are just sitting there and fit a bit tightly but just there. Now for a bit of welding.
All i can say is its much more comfortable sitting on these than the old seats.

There's something familiar about those seats but I just can't put my finger on it...

The back back rest incidentally is now used for the bedding in the dogs house, he thinks its great. As does the cat who now sneaks in.

Re: The Car (and jeep)
The jeep, i am completley confused by how to wire it up. I have the distributor cap and the ht leads on right but there is a load of shitty looking wires going nowhere but the main issue is getting the distributor connected to the national grid, and the altenator and starter are not connected either, i dont know what way they go.
But its not all bad, i connected the battery and:

the clock works, as does the hazzard lights although only the rear right one works the others are smashed or removed.

Re: The Car (and jeep)
Im still uttlerly bewildered by the wiring of the electrics in the jeep, i had a few diagrams but still couldnt work it out.
But while the auto electrician is busy i asked my cousin to put in the seats, and he is also going to sort out the rust.
Here was the back floor:

thats wood in there, it come out so the floor can get welded, heres some rust:

where the roll cage had been mounted
:

and the back sill:

this isnt too bad because its not affecting the part where the body mounts onto the chasis, the first vitara was completley seperated from the chasis.
I gave it a clean with the powerhose, the one on the tractor it just blasts away the rust.

Re: The Car (and jeep)
"no rust within 30cm of body mountings or seatbelt mountings" That there rust in the last pic is about 5cm from the rear body mounts....FarmerPug wrote:this isnt too bad because its not affecting the part where the body mounts onto the chasis,

I've got millions of pics of the rust repairs on mine fella, here's just a selection... (they aren't in order, I can't be bothered....
