as far as im aware- there wasnt.. Although im sure someone said they had a 1.6 for sale somewhere.. Parlers dont list it anyways! :P

Whilst having a browse though the haynes manual looking at something found it in there XU5 engine code.

I've seen a few abroad, don't think they were ever sold new in Britain though.

I think it was sold in France only.

Who'd buy a large car with such a pitiful engine? Imagine the bills for engine rebuilds. The Pug 1.6 barely has enough power to propel my sister's 206 and that's half the size!

my dad had a laguna 1.6 16v, went pretty well actually...

provided it was the 1.6 16v it wouldnt be too bad but i still think a 2 litre should be the min in this heavy car

I think the 406 is bigger and heavier than a Laguna.

Just so everyones reading from the same sheet - The topis is about the ranks you progress thru as you post more. The bottom Rank is a 1.6 8v, and thats where the question arose from..

At first I thought you were aclling a 1.6 406 a rank car (as in horrible) lol! :P
