Forgot to mention that I have always had the airbag light on (never did anything about it). I wonder
whether this has a bearing on the horn problem (i.e. via COMMS 2000). Steve??

Re: HORN WORKS ONLY ON ONE STEERING WHEEL SPOKE
Is the airbag light on solid, or flashing?
If it's flashing, it means the car can't see the seatbelt pre-tensioners properly - therefore, check all the electrical connectors under both front seats to ensure they're all tightly connected.
If it's on solid, it means the car can't detect the bag itself. I got this after visiting the garage to get them to sort the horn out - they took off the airbag again, and found a frayed/damaged wire behind it, which they sorted out for me. Now my horn works properly (no leaning on the pad to get it to sound) and the airbag light is off.
