Google Car

Post by FarmerPug »

I spotted one today.
My dad took the tractor and pulled my jeep up the road to my cousins, we left the jeep off and went back home. He pulled out and there coming up the road was an astra with a huge tripod thing. Quite a sight.
When does streetview update? How long will they take to change the photos, i also saw a blue plane going back and fourth i think its the google aeriel view plane.

They seem to go over streets they missed out.

I saw it on the ravenhill road a year or so ago. But on Streetview there is no 406.

that must have been last year, its election time round this part of the year.
Our roads are very out of date, for example a house of my aunts isnt built, and has no roof, there is a big pile of wood outside the farm. If this is updated the 406 should show up as i had it parked outside my grannys house yesterday, and we were in the tractor for a good few seconds in front of the google car.
I suppose the best way to get on is to tail the car.

It didn't update the Ravenhill Road, as there is no 406 tailing it up to Ravenhill Avenue :)

The driver seemed to be lost, as if they were going back to picture a street they missed first time round, but couldn't find it.

It was last year aye, around April/May general election time when I had the 406 and moved up that direction.

Google Navigation is brilliant - it's as accurate as Google Maps data is, and it constantly updates for free. Just make sure your iPhone is connected to your cigarette lighter socket if you're going on a long trip.

I assume the iphone will be a bit of a guzzler on the power, the blackberry sold on ebay within an hour of me putting it up for £100.

Not too far from the hotel at Orchard Street we stayed at!

We got a few tins from the shop in the centre of town of Uncle Joes Mint Balls to take home.

Ate out of this chippy (link) and it was rotten
