The advantage of car boot sales is the people come to get rid of clutter so you can get a good deal whereas eBay is good for the seller the price goes up if the item gets bidder on a lot this is not the case with car boot sales. A place where old jim doesnt know what eBay is so is just glad to get rid of the stuff.
Car boot sales have a nice atmosphere about them eBay can at times be a bit cold nonetheless it's still allright

Car boot sales can be hit and miss. Sometimes can be old tat that needs thrown out they're chancing their arm selling. Other times can get some absolute gems, such as:
- Mac Plus with keyboard for £5
- N64 with carry case and 2 games (F1 and Goldeneye) for £5

Other times though there are chancers who might as well be on ebay. £25 for Godfather trilogy DVD with scrappy cover? Can get it new for cheaper!

The problem with ebay are the last minute snipers. You think you're winning something then with 2 seconds to go the price gets up a few times and you lose.

Also difficult to get a bargain now I find, everything is up near retail price (or for collectables such as old computers, very overpriced!)

It's ok for getting awkward car parts but only use "buy it now".

Ebay you see, the seller can look at other items the same and see what they are going for and price it accordingly, car boot sales the seller just wants rid of the stuff and can be haggled down, ebay prices only go up. Buy it now is really the only way to get something at the right price.
