Re: d9 electrics,
The ecu sits under the driver's seat. I presume you have the wiring for non-memory seats (two yellow plugs?) so they'd be plug and play, more or less, memory seats would be a nuisance but it's do-able. There's no point in having the memory ecu as everyone says it won't work (although no one's saying why) so it would be a lot of wiring for no gain.

Re: d9 electrics,
From what I've heard, a large problem with the memory function is that it is also linked to the mirrors & would need a feed from the mirrors for it to work.
Although I do agree with Steve - would've thought some whizz kid somewhere would've sussed a way to get it working by now.

Re: d9 electrics,
lozz, I wouldn't bother with the ecu - it only gets you the memory function, (which I've used twice in as many years) and wouldn't miss if it wasn't there. Promises to be a royal PITA to get working, your BSI may not support it and I think you'd need different mirrors too as I don't think they all have the position sensors necessary for the ecu to do it's thang.

Re: d9 electrics,
It only gets one of its power supplies from the BSI, not sure if that requires turning on (think it's the same feed as the windows etc.) but that's immaterial if you get all the feeds from the seat feed (I've clocked mine, they're live!). Different mirrors yes (maybe it needs input from these to store a memory?)

Re: d9 electrics,
Where are these seat feeds coming from? When I was fitting my seats I had to get a feed from the battery as mine never had the yellow plug for the seat motors in it.

iwill have another look and see where they all run from ,
at the moment all i can see is them tied and clipped to the seat not much room under there to have a proper ganders,

Re: d9 electrics,
i have an ecu if you wanna go that route lozz.
but i havnt used it in my D8.
no1 has got round to figuring it out yet because memory is a useless function that you wont even use if it was there..
i think the only main reason you would use the ECU is to get the heated seats working because my ecu kit does that,

Re: d9 electrics,
Are you changing the dash to black too? If so, let us know if you find an easy solution to undoing the backwards screws in the piece behind the glovebox. You'll know what I'm on about when you try to remove it.
