Re: 607 - when french electrics strike
defap all the way, but thats interesting about the battery, because the car is complaining of a low battery. I will check the boot then. It does have some oddly placed items, eg the OBD port in under the armrest as opposed to beside the fusebox, then the hazzard light button is basically on the passenger side.
Re: 607 - when french electrics strike
Yep two batterys in the 607. Who knew? Thats common in french cars. Some examples are the wipers in the 206 and the handbrake lever in the 407. Doesnt make sense. Oh and just about every french cars location of the bonnet release. Except the 406 which is totally customised for RHD (I think)

My bonnet release is at the top of the l/h kick panel by my left leg. Cars generally seem to be about there

Yep but you have a l/h/d. In most r/h/d pugs they dont move the bonnet release from that location!

Re: 607 - when french electrics strike
So your rhd 406s have the bonnet release in the same place as mine, so you have to either do some diving or open the passenger door. Sorry but
(bear in mind I never paid any attention to 406s when I was in the UK)

The bonnet release on both my RHD 406s has been in the drivers' footwell, on the right-hand side, under the dashboard.
I believe on LHD 406s, it is on the drivers' footwell, on the left-hand side, under the dashboard.
In both LHD and RHD cars, the fuel filler cap release is on the same side of the car as the bonnet release...

Mine on the right hand side,
"What iwas saying is wouidnt the heater box on the left Hookers be on the right hand side uk side ?
hence why left hookers bonnet opener is on left hand side,?
or are they in same place the heater blower boxes ?
icarnt drive a left hooker by the way itried once but its not for me,
Maybe left hooker wouid be good for thems taxi drivers over here

the 607 bonnet release, instead of pulling it towards you like the 406 you push it downwards.
Try finding the fuse box in a citroen dispatch van before looking at the manual.

Re: 607 - when french electrics strike
The Xantia had the handbrake way over at the passenger side. Suspension controls beside the driver.
406 has a similar setup but not as offset as the Xantia.
Could be embarrassing, reaching over for the handbrake.
Other half's fiesta bonnet release is on the passenger side.
And the Honda has 2 fuseboxes, either end of the dashboard.
Though luckily the electrics seem perfect.

The citroen dispatch it has the battery and fusebox under the drivers seat, and another fusebox in the engine bay that requries a few things to be taken out.
And then the put the handbrake on the drivers side between the door and seat.

Re: 607 - when french electrics strike
GTV had the battery in the boot, and the boot release was at the back of the glovebox

Re: 607 - when french electrics strike
Boot release in the glovebox my suzuki has the bonnet release there but the boot release that's a new one quite a quirk. Where was this in the Citroën cx I bet somewhere like a button under a cover behind the drivers headrest
Re: 607 - when french electrics strike
any progress with that 607?
