Sloshing sound
My car is making a noiceable sloshing noise from the passengers side, when braking or pulling or moving left and right. I know the door seal sheets were not great a while back but that was sorted and the carpets were dried thorougly, and remain to be dry.
What could be causing this odd noise.

Re: Sloshing sound
That's more behind you and the full width of the car. It could be that cup of tea you had earlier...

Re: Sloshing sound
I went out to my car, its sitting on a front is lower gradient, and there is a small puddle at the passenger sill, but where does the water come from, perhaps the mudguards are blocking something?
where is the rear drain hole?
I did spray a lot of waxoyl into the sills a while back.

Re: Sloshing sound
Only just. You should clear them both ends both sides, check the clips out on your door bottom seals, then fill the sill up with Waxoyl to stop yourself ending up doing Fred Flintstone impressions.

Re: Sloshing sound
I can hear the fuel in my tank sloshing about too, it's definitely behind me though. I think my first link was Welly and he could definitely hear it:
Anyway, if not already done it's a good idea to check the sills out, replace any broken clips, clear the drains and spray Waxoyl (or similar) inside, or they'll rot from the inside out and things will get medieval.Welly wrote:Bloody sloshing in the sills when I brake to a stop, sounds well crap![]()
Never had it before but I know it happens on our cars, must have been from my 'scuba driving' this morning.
Parked it facing down my steep hill tonight hoping it will drain out.
Is there a proper fix for this?
(don't like water in the body panels)
Welly
