havent checked out the link, but did watch the video on the bbc earlier and i have to say its possibly the most boring bit of video i have ever seen, i wanted red and green beams and all that jazz with sound effects and whooshing and zapping noises and well it just burned, boring really.

clever technology but boring, nothing like star trek and the likes has taught us to expect

lets just say i and a few friends have owned such things and well "boys will be boys",

in Spain it wasn't illegal to own a taser so in the late 90's they were the self defense weapon of choice amongst the club owners and security, ahh those were the days a 2 foot baton on your belt and a taser in your back pocket, i feel for the guys on front line duties in the uk, nothing but a smile and open palms to defuse a situation.

A bloody big stick and 50,000 volts calms just about anybody down i can assure you

An electric cattle fence is as unpleasent as i know about.
I seen the laser thing on bbc its very boring, cant a gun shoot the engines quicker, if you were on that boat you could just use a mirror to deflect the laser.
