i seen one of these tata spin washers last year, it was doing 20 in a 50 zone, not very hard to overtake, even in a 1.2 clio which cost less than that.

Tata have the last laugh, as while in the UK everybodys mocking, they own Land Rover, Jag and Aston Martin. The UK is now an offshore CKD assembling plant for Chinese MGs and horrible Nissans (RIP Bluebird ).

They also own the rights to the Austin and Rover names, so could theoretically sell the Nano as an Austin 7.

I could see a market for such a simple car, a spiritual successor to the Reliant Robin or the proper Mini perhaps. If they sold it with an electric motor it would sell well in the likes of London.

Thinly might own a lot but their own stuff isn't great. I seen one of them brand new pickups there was bits not painted rust wonky shut lines and best of all a sticker warning drivers that this viechle is fitted with a turbocharger
