With your fancyboy MFD's that talk to you!
I call my car "Bitchin' Betty" because the MFD is always moaning about something ("Bitchin' Betty" is the nickname the USAF pilots give the aural warning system in their fighter jets, the voice that says "Pull Up" or "Fuel Low" or "Engine Fire" etc)

Both the above videos are a very similar noise to what I have... both above videos required a new steering rack :(
Really? Yes. :(
Gutted? Yes :(

So looking at £120 for a recon unit, spare droplinks & ball joints going to be £50ish and contacted ford for a price on every single nut and bolt I'm going to have to remove, chances are one or two are going to rqeuire drilling out.
I cannot wait :|

And next monday I'm off to Yorkshire... who thinks I'l make it with my steering rack like this?
My mk3 mondeo made that clunk noise it was the top mounts on the front suspension,

The Orion made all sorts of knocks and bangs. The wishbones sorted one of them, including the tendency to drive sideways under acceleration

Car was a deathtrap in all fairness. Put me off Ford for life.

When I was young, we invented a game called 'Spot the Ford', to while away long journeys.

Spot the Ford must be a constant participation sport, as they're everywhere.
