Thanks mate

Where does this filter live on my car (2001 D9 110 HDI) and how easy is it to remove?

I see....... Thank you mate.highlander wrote:The HDi 110 didn't come with a FAP fitted (well, there are allegedly some, but we've never had one on these forums).
The FAP system also includes a diesel additive system which uses cerene fluid, which is very expensive, and the cerene system can only be topped up by a dealer because the ECU needs to be told that the tank has been recharged.
De-FAPing the car removes the need for the cerene tank; some people leave it physically in place (but empty), other people have removed the cerene system entirely.
I think that was Doggy matehighlander wrote:Potentially - though I think it was Plod that did it and said he found no difference (just more noise and smoke).
You'd be better with a customized stainless steel system; ask them to give you an exhaust that really helps your car's performance. You will need to tell your insurance company about the stainless system though.
That be true, I didn't notice any difference, but concede it may have helped a bit. It probably depends on how blocked your cat is to start with - my previous HDi 90 Xsara was pretty choked up towards the end, exhaust didn't even smell catalysed. It didn't really affect ultimate power, but definetely caused significant turbo lag.plod wrote:I think that was Doggy mate
What's this? You joining Graeme on the Powerflo gravy train, then Plod?Unfortunately I can't give a balanced opinion as I decat'd at same time as fitting the Powerflow from a V6 coupe
The combo made the turbo spool up quicker, and does feel faster

Need another clamp,but for now
Need to tweak the mounts slightly to shift the tailpipe over to the right fractionally, but quite pleased.
De-cat'd it at same time, and the turbo lag has gone - spools up so much quicker now
