My Focus Did It!!

Post by Bailes1992 »

Haha :)
In Holmfirth (Last Of The Summer Wine land)
230+ miles, 65-70mph all the way and 44mpg.
Bit of steering shudder with the nackered steering rack but overall I'm impressed :)
The accelerator is very awkward so after 230 mile my right foot knew I'd done 230 mile.
Blackpool tommorow, home Wednesday :)

I reckon Betsy will be fine :)

I reckon ST170 pedals, get some nicer seats along with cruise control and a new steering rack and she'd make a nice motorway bruiser :)

My Ford got A-B, but it was getting it started at A was the problem, and getting to B without a fuel guage and realising all of the right hand lights were no longer working.

Isn't it slightly worrying that you find it impressive that your car got you from A to B...?

There was a review of the new Focus on The Register yesterday.

It has vanes in the lower grille that open up to let air at the engine.

I can imagine when they break, and no air gets at the engine, it'll make a MAF failure look like a slight hiccup.
