Some Free Stuff ...

Post by Chaz »

OK Guys and Gals,

I still have some stuff in my garage from the 2.0 Turbo breaking we did about a year ago. Ive thrown alot out but these bits might be of some value.

Rear Lights (both) - lightly tinted (factory I think).
ABS Unit
Complete Alarm Pad, ECU and bits that come with this for the Central Locking. I should have at least 1 key somewhere but not seen at the moment.
I may have other bits too - will add them to the list as I find them in the garage.

If you want any of this stuff, feel free to collect from WA87EJ or if you are willing to pay postage, will make a plan to send.

Thanks

Charl

The 2.0 turbo was a petrol engine only found in the D8.

I know the HDi 90 and HDi 110 are also 2.0 turbo, but everyone here just calls them HDi.

Another clue is he mentioned the alarm pad - the keypad immobilizer was only found on D8 cars.

D8, as per the post above. It was a 2.0 Petrol Turbo car, not diesel.

Still those rear lights could be interesting (I prefer D8 rear ligths to D9), but I guess shipping may be a tad too high.
Anyhow if noone else is needing them I am here.

Ok, add two electric side mirrors - metallic grey in colour - still in good condition.

With motor (auto-retracting)? If so, I'm ready to pay for them! They are pretty rare here in Italy.

Im not sure. They are electric - lots of wires from each. One of the cases has a slight crack in it - uploading pics now.

Sure, 075 406 667 44 - Chaz, give me a call. If our Italian friend wants the mirrors, he had asked first - but lets see.

I dont think so. Pity, I already threw away loads of stuff as there was no interest when I was trying to sell the stuff. Aircon pump, Alternator, some manifolds etc. I might still have the odd but less likely. Anything specific you are looking for?

They may be motorized due to the quantity of wires, but I have been looking myself for how to distinguish between motorized and non motorized ones without opening them and still I'm not sure. Anyhow look at the controls on the driver's doorcards (if you still have them): if the "turn the mirror" knob has a white dot at the opposite of the white dot of the neutral position (the one pointing forward), the are motorized. They could be closed by turning the knob 180°.
Maybe someone could just indicate if they are motorized by looking at the wrings?
