I can indicate without that - they won't be retractable as they came from a D8 & only the D9s got the retractable power folding mirrors.

Thought I'd get that in before everybody ended up going to loads of trouble shipping them to Italy.

Ok, I seemed to recall they could retract but im not nearly 100% certain. We dont have teh door cards to check with - pity. Thanks for letting us know.

They can be folded in manually.

I dont think so. Pity, I already threw away loads of stuff as there was no interest when I was trying to sell the stuff. Aircon pump, Alternator, some manifolds etc. I might still have the odd but less likely. Anything specific you are looking for?

anything to do with the engine realy just so i can keep them as spares mate.

thanks for those charls. finally got a genuine set of glass again with blue tint

and the rear lights will come in good handy after i had problems last year with water getting in.

not sure what i'll do with the ECU , will keep it in my spares box and hopefully help a forum member out 1 day

Water from the rear lights? Not from the usual silicone-like thing?

yes the lights. the seal was badly worn and was letting water into the light.

soooo... if my light is slightly cracked it could be that causing the very small water leak inside my boot? I already bought the silicone

yes it could be. i'm clued up when it comes to a water leak in the boot of a 406

it took me 2 months to finally stop mine. so i can point you in the right places if it still is getting in when you fix light.

also DONT use silicone. its no good on cars. (general household silicone i mean)

get some automotive stuff ie - Sikaflex or TIGERSEAL , these products are an adhesive as well as a sealant for all industrial purposes. ie boats. cars, caravans. bus's etc etc

Yep I saw your guides and got a sealant that should be good on paint. We'll see.
However is only a small water leak that does not even get to the boot floor, it's only noticeable if I lift it up. A thin water layer near the tyre hole (UK driver's side).

if the lights are dry inside i could well be the same place mine was leaking in.

this is simple to check. remove back lights and inspect the sealant that seals the rear quater panels to the back cross section

this was my car. lights and bumper off , as stated it took me 2 months to find were it was getting in. so i will show you and hopefully it will only take you 1 day



this pic shows were the original sealant runs. light here is in place but ones removed you will see were the old sealant runs. it will probably be bristtle and yellow.



this hole is were i poked out the old seal. water would pour in the boot through this when it rained
this hole is NOT an accident damaged repair . you will see it on your car

ahh ok mate. well i'm here if you have any questions if the new light doesnt fix it ..
