Yes, i've been doing a bit of searching, and the XS does appear pretty rare

There is one at Swindon with less miles on but is asking 6k, but then it's a bit closer ( 80 mile down the fosse for me ) whereas Halifax is 120-130miles away

I still like the car, and my mate has a friend who works for a Peugoet dealer, and he says if it's been serviced as a Peugoet dealer, which is claimed in the advert, he might be able to access the service records for the car

Was just trying to get as clued up as possible in readiness for a trip up there

I'm trying to do a search on t'internet for what is carried out on specific services for the model but struggling a tad

Dave if you pop over to the other forum and ask i'm pretty sure one of the tech's on there can check what's been done at main dealers IE full history of work thats been done to that car over its entire life. Not 100% certain it was definatly that forum but ive seen it somewhere.

That blue one you found first is still advertised:

May not have the funky bodykit, but the bumpers could always be added at a later date.

Dropped the price by £300 overnight as well - was £5295, now £4995
Might take a gander on thursday on my way back from Kendal as it's only off J21 M6

Looks nice, but I'd be reluctant to go over £2k. There was a 2.2 HDi SE estate with 85k that only went for £2500 not so long ago.
Wasn't planning on paying over 2k
TBH a 2.2 HDi SE Estate is actually what i'd prefer
Not overly fussed on mileage if it's slightly above average, as I only do about 6k a year so would bring the average down
That 2003 HDi110 Se saloon that was on at £2195 is now down to £1750
Was thinking of spending 5k on a car, but the predicted increase in interest rates meant I reduced my intended borrowing from 8k down to 5k

Already spent a load of it already - most of it today

Anyway, link to the SE 15 miles down the road

If you have the spare money, try to take £1500 (& a friend) with you when you first look. Whilst he may not accept an offer of £1500 in general chit chat, he may take that if the money is in front of him & the car goes the same day.

Whilst i'm very tempted, and I quite fancy taking a gander, as especially it's been listed 3 times, and despite looking a tidy car in the pics, they are struggling to sell, so might get away with it, i'm reminded of your comments a bit back Waue, of buying a car, and then finding a 2.2HDi Estate in Executive or SE trim and kicking myself

So, No, i'll hold back and await a 2003 2.2HDi Estate in SE or Executive to pop up, in a way, hopefully with FAP problems, so can pick up for a decent price
Would be nice if it was in that colour as well, as they all seem to look well in that

Good plan Dave. Having owned a standard 2.2 with my old C5 & having now had a go in Doggy's defapped beast, I would well reccommend getting one. If defapping had been more commonplace when I had the C5, I would've kept that a lot longer than I did.

As if by magic.....

May be worth a haggle as he's not far from you?

Mileage is a bit high, but mine's done 154k and doesn't feel 'tired'.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Yes, did spot that one Doggy
I really want to move up as many years as possible, so would prefer to get a 2003 car if possible
