Yep that's the one - number 1 in your pic

The 'balljoint' on the top of the tappet is broken, and the tappet is wedged down into the head

All I can think of, is drill a hole in it, and try and get an easy-out to grip it, pull it up

As it's not threaded anything will do, a nice metal screw with a big head to grip with a pair of moles perhaps. Careful with that swarf!

iknow a company that wouid sort the head for you and there very cheap,

If you do manage to get a bolt into the tappet try to get a slide hammer attached so that you can knock it out using the slide hammer.
