Post by FarmerPug »

If i was on the wrong tax code (paying too much) when do i get a refund. I was thinking the end of the tax year is the 5th, but i realised today that was back in april and nothing happened.

frank the next time you get paid AFTER tax code is sorted you will get it back in that wage

OR you wont get taxed from your wages till its paid back to you.

it can take upto so many weeks after sorting the code out to get refunded into your wage packet .

but you dont have to wait till the end of the previous tax year

Do they have a C.A.B in ireland ?
if so go and see them they will help you to get it sorted and they will do all the talking on the phone.

if not write to them and demand an explanation as to why you havent had a rebate or refund make it clear on the letter that you have been over paying,

send the letter recorded delivery then that way you will know it wont go in file 13,

they are public servants at the end of the day they dont have the right to be rude or arrogant with you,
if you ever have to ring them again and they are rude just say please can italk to your manager or superior,

you shouid have the right to reclaim what is yours dont let them get the better of you but dont let them wind you up itl give them an excuse to slam the phone down,

best to go in and see them take any paperwork with you,
over here they work on a Apointment system so its best to ring before hand and ask if they work off Apointments,
its worth seeing them theyl save you on phone bills and they will help get it sorted
