Anyone want a Bargain!

Post by lozz »

Anyone want a bargain,

this is a one off,
my mate as got a 03 reg ford mondeo deisel he paid £3k for it 3 years ago,
its never missed a service, new exhaust brake calipers front springs its had loads spent on it and its not been abused,

hes selling it due to health problems,

He wants £700 for it,
its alovely clean motor and its been his pride and joy but it has to go shortly,

this car is lovely im tempted to buy it my self and make a grand or so profit by selling it on or keep it but id feel greedy doing it id sooner someone else buy it and not have my mate see it if you know what imean it be a bit like rubbing salt in wounds,
ithink,

anyone interested give us a shout

Go for it.

Your mate set the price that he is willing to accept, so IMO you can buy it with a crystal clear conscience if you intend to keep it for a while.

I was tempted to buy it unseen, but I'm 400 miles away so the logistics would be too much hassle :(

No its not right mate idont think itwouidnt feel right me having it and then theres all the insurance polava change over to sort out,
its a shame idont have a picture of the car and you wouid understand what imean
the car is mint its not fallen into the wrong hands and been abused like most mondeos do, my mate as kept on top of it and spent every penny he couid on it. if its ever needed a part its been brand new ones,

ichanged the pads on this last year icouid of got him a set of pads all round £30 but he said no,
it had to have mintex all round £98 just for pads, thats just one example,
one of the wheel bearings cost him £90
£350 for the exhaust .
one garage charged him £130 for 2 front droplinks fitted iwas ill at the time or iwouid of fitted them.
a chap comes every year and services it costs him £150 for a service thats just been done,

so all in all hes losing a lot of money but thats the way the cookie crumbles a spose :(

spec Lx
mot 4mths,
tax void as tax as to be returned to dvla, its disabled tax,
factory fitted towbar.
miles around 148k
its manual,

everything works elecy seat. cd player aircon etc .
this as cam chain so no cambelt change needed

its the same as this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Mondeo-Diese ... 19c54319e4

but my mates is alot cleaner than that one thats a bad example that one

I think I can answer the above questions on Lozz's behalf - I've been discussing the car with him via PM's.

Lozz describes the car as mint, and his word is good enough for me, so my guess is that there is no rust.

It is the 115bhp version that has been remapped to 130bhp.

Its an ex CID car, so some of you may have already had a ride in the back of it  , and with a bit of luck there'll be an ounce of grass stuffed down the backseat

I'm not comfortable with sending the pm's without Lozz's permission, and most of what I know has already been mentioned, but I don't think he'll have any problems with me relating any facts that haven't already been mentioned in the above posts.

It's Panther Black in colour
has been de-cated
has a 5 speed gearbox
