90 v's 110 bhp HDI
Is there much difference between the two? also can a 90 be mapped to 110?

yes there is a difference one is 90 bhp and 1 is 110bhp which will make a whole lot of difference.
yes the 90 can be remapped to 110.
and the 110 can be remapped to just under 140 .

i reckon that car hits 60 (100kph) in about under 11 seconds, the 2.2 hdi does it in that.lozz wrote:they rekon remap is 142 top whack on a 110,

but another difference between the two engines is the 90bhp doesnt have a dual mass flywheel i believe.

I've got the 90bhp version, and for most people it would suit their needs.
But I do a lot of driving on twisty country roads, and its not really suitable for these. Sure it'll maintain the speed limit, and it corners well, but the main problem is when you need to get past slower moving traffic, there just isn't enough oomph to get you past anything doing 40 to 50 mph in as short a time as possible (Time exposed to danger).
If you've got the choice, I'd go for the 110bhp version.

idont have a camera or id upload a vid on the tube but that might not be a good idea incase any plod view the tube,
theres another video on the tube somewhere showing what a fully maped 110 can do but icarnt find it,

ive took mine upto 122 and called it a day at that the 406 can become abit twitchy

the most common remap number is 136 for these eco tunes, id like one of them.
The 110 is enough but could do with slightly more just for overtaking.

The 90 doesn't have a DMF and it's a different 'box - a BE rather than an ML.
The Semen's doesn't have a lift pump or (as far as I can recall) a cat. The downside is the Semens can't be remapped (unless things have changed since this last came up)
