So a little update, the car is simply awesome, the power delivery from the 2.2 twin turbo set up is so smooth, peak torque is from about 1400 rpm so when you manage to match it properly with the 6 speed box it pulls like a train and has a most satisfying engine grumble to it, almost V like in its intensity :?

toys? well it has em all, once i actually know about em all i will write up something a bit more detailed and get some pictures up for you all to have a gander at, but right now "pig in sh1t" is about as close i can get to describing my current situation :cheesy:

1400 RPM - that's amazing!
It's 2000 on mine. :(
A standard single-turbo 2.2 runs out of puff at about 3750 too.

The T5 is silly.
Overtaking is a doddle you don't even have to fish for gears, any gear, any revs chuck your foot down and it just goes :?
You never have to take it above 2000rpm cause it's so torquey! and in return you get 25+mpg...

Polskifrog? :P

No CD player? There's some interesting stuff there, I do like the way they resurrected the DS's bendy headlights now, my dad's C5 has them and they're rather useful.

Just quickly 'cos I'm just about to head off out to do some painting (I should do a post about that some time) but I have one question - with tyre pressure warning (or is that deflection?) will it be a pain in the arse when you fit winter tyres?

Its got a single slot CD player upfront, built into the navigation come radio come bluetooth telephone come audio device.

as for the tyre pressure monitor, i have no bloody idea what issues it will cause me in the winter, i think a set of steel wheels might just be easier in the winter then i dont have to start messing about taking off the very nice michelin primacys that are on the alloys.

I dont even know how such magic happens, you can check tyre pressure on the move at any speed so it must have some form of sensor built in to the alloy :? maybe :? i will figure it out in time.

If the TPMS is related to the system on the 407 then it can store the 'codes' for ten sensors, allowing a second set of wheels for winter tyres.
The sensors are about £60 from the stealers and need coding to the car. Ford, Jag, and LR all use the same system and the sensors are often available on fleabay, far cheaper than the official kit.
Many tyre fitting places in the UK have a coding tool, no diagnostic system required. If getting used sensors, check that they are euro freq. (415Mhz from memory) not US (300 something?).

You can if you're not driving it!

I liked the Jaguar screen, where the one display shows two full-screen outputs - the car's normal MFD, and the television. But you can only view the television/DVD display from the passenger seat, and you can only see the MFD from the driver's seat. Very clever stuff, that!
