Inroads to the US market.

When your fuel is ridiculously cheap, and emissions policies kill all performance, big block petrol engines are king.

but if they dont want a small engine they still have the choice of a diesel, audi merc and bmw all do big 3.0 or bigger diesels that will probably do better mpg than their cars.

American cars of recent years all seem to share the same cheap crap quality dashes.

US Market Accord Coupe seems to have a similar dash to the 99-> European Accord saloon, albeit with a lighter colour and more wood.

here in europe we want brushed aluminium and soft touch dashes, with nice slick switches that make a specific click.
over there the dashboards are very plain and unappealing just big lumps of crude unrefined plastic, look at the dashes in the cars chevrolet sells us here all american car dashes seem like that these days.
its not that they dont know how to make a good dash a friend i remember drove a 1991 jeep cherokee and the dash was nicely made in it, and old cadillac dashes were very nice.
