Theres load of d9s on the road up here 50% of them are lady drivers,
alot of lady taxi drivers have them too,
they have light steering and a light clutch maybe thats why they have them,

its nice to know that there is some ladies driving a 406, i thought only ouwld bies drove them as is the case round here they are used for quite agricultural puposes, or as taxis.
I do see a mother with child seats in the back driving a 406 though.

True, Graeme, but a lot of us have come by 406's that were, 'too big', for the lady of the house.highlander wrote:I've seen a fair few female 406 drivers - there's a lady who owns a white D8 that lives somewhere else in our housing estate, for instance.
Also, our very own Supafrisk had a lovely black Executive saloon, used it as a taxi, til some muppet rear-ended it at 50 MPH and wrote it off (the other party admitted liability; she wasn't looking where she was going).

Mind you, the Dogmobile's previous owner was a Mrs Hurry.......
Come to think of it, the first registered keeper was female too.
Clutch on mine feels fairly light, cos of fairly long effective travel & hydraulic actuation, but it soon starts to feel like an effort in prolonged start / stop drivinglozz wrote:Theres load of d9s on the road up here 50% of them are lady drivers,

Horrible in start / stop traffic I found. That and the lurching because of the engine mounts (that the garage said was nothing wrong with then changed a token top one just to try and shut me up).dogslife wrote:

Re: Audi Nil puggy 1
My Clio was wrote off on account of the heavy clutch.
1st car, busy roundabout, new driver so nervous, clutch up on a gap that eventually appeared, stall, car behind looking at traffic but doesn't see me, bash. An old shape 5 series in the rear.

I swear, doggy, if you don't use the dogmobile properly I'll have to take it off you. Attaboy for that MX-5.. No real man should be passed by a 60 year old queer in a bright red Mazda!
