hey guys. Is it possible to increase the 0-60 of a 406 2.0hdi ?
Iv looked breifly into engine remaps etc. but cant find straight answers.
I really want to keep the pug but need more speed. Its the exec model so has all the luxurys i want and is a good size car. all its missing is speed.
Any thoughts?

Re: increase speed?
Is yours the HDi 110?
You should be able to get it remapped to around 140 HP, which will lower your 0-60 time. This will also give you a nice boost in terms of torque, making it better for accelerating uphill and for pulling any kind of load (caravan, trailer, horse box, etc).
You may also want to think about fitting a stainless steel exhaust system with a sports catalyst, which will improve the exhaust flow and therefore give you a bit more in terms of engine efficiency. This should complement the remap quite nicely, giving a little more power from the engine, and will also give you a nicer exhaust note.
A better air filter may help, but don't expect wonders from it.

idont think abigger intercooler wouidnt add much more imight be wrong tho!
ithink the fuel pumps are Govend too in some way so theres only so far you can take them ithink,
im happy with mine iwouidnt want to add anymore to it even if its possible, But whatsthe limit they can take before something implodes on its self ,?
is it worth it ... nah

Re: increase speed?
Was it a link on here that showed that Dimma 306
I know it was a 2.2HDI
but
had a BMW 330d fuel pump, 330d VNT turbo, hybrid 330d/AMG injectors
and was running 235bhp
I've stayed at the level I have because i'm happy with it
re-mapped, decat'd, V6 powerflow exhaust
coupled with the fact that anymore than that isn't probably be healthy for the clutch
AND
I read to get another 30bhp i.e 170, requires FMC, Mercedes fuel pump, and sh*t load of other gubbins including bigger turbo, and BHP per pound doesn't seem economically viable
