toy for the kids or yourself???

Post by plod »

I'm not earning a lot at the moment, and what with the mot and two tyres last month, I was already struggling a bit

I was paid a week late, and of that only got half my wages due to cash flow problems at work

I bought this to have a bit of fun with, but been busy quite a lot lately so literally used it for 5 mins only

It is all RTR (Ready To Run) and comes in original box - I'd go so far to say, it could literally pass for brand new, which in reality it almost is :D
It's a Losi 1/18th scale Mini Desert Buggy

I believe retail is £129, but can be picked up from discounters for £100

I'm asking £80 posted, or would do for £76 if paid by paypal gift, or payment by cheque

Probably not the usual place to sell something like this, but needs be as needs must

Yes, as a gift to avoid fees
It does give the buyer less protection, in case the seller let's you down

I wouldn;t recommend for someone you didn't know, but I ain't planning on doing a bunk

Last time I tried to send money as a "gift" on Paypal, the fees were still payable. Only difference was that the sender could opt to pay them.

If you have money to cover the amount already in your paypal balance, then their are no fees either side

If you are paying, and using your bank account, or credit card to fund your paypal account, then fees are payable, and as you say waue, their is the option for the buyer to cover the fees themselves, or make the seller pay the fees.

If a cheque is easier Lozz ( saves me transferring the money from paypal to my bank account ) then if you are using the second of the above options, then it's cheaper, we can do that instead 8)

Sorry Lozz

Missed the last 3 or 4 posts, as the forum has logged me out twice today !! ( I'd mention that "today's post" button again, but it got me nowhere last time

Anyway, pm's recieved, and car packaged up and sent first class recorded today ( cost me bit extra and could of gone a bit cheaper, but it's my preferred option if I can :cheesy: )
Tracking number pm'd over as well :D

Many thanks for the funds lozz, will gratefully go towards some baked beans and bread so I can have skinheads on a raft

Cheers plod,
there was not rush on getting it posted,
kids wont be playing with it for a while ,
it will be going to a mate of mine first before they get it, Motor will be upgraded to a Brushless one and a differnt battery,
it will have to do more than 45mph when my kids are playing with it as it will have 3 greyhounds chasing it too

thats the plan anyway

Yes, my initial plan was brushless and lipo as a few guys down the local model shop bought them and they were building a mini track to race them, then the shop shut, so I never did anything with it
I'd organised someone to paint me a police style shell, and had someone ready to build me some blue and red flashing led's to sit in the light buckets on it
