I think I may have found a friend of a friend who is an ex-Peugeot mechanic who has PP2000 and a Lexia3 and should hopefully be coming up to my house at some point this week to plug it in and see what we find.
My question is this, can PP2000 be used on a 97 2.1TD (pretty sure it can but after clarification) and also if it is compatible, can it be used to remove the immobiliser? While I've got him here with it, is there anything else I should look at? I know it can do a full ECU/electrical diagnostic so I will do that as a matter of course, but is there anything else specific I should check/change?

No you can't remove the IMMO with Pp2000. You need to edit the coding the eeprom in the BSI. Or if its non-plexed and fitted to a running car, you start the engine, d/c the ecu with the engine running and then cut the two wires going from the IMMO to the ECU. This will keep the ECU unlocked.

Yeah, I've had the guy with PP2000 go through the guide and he said this to me earlier today. I'm thinking I may well jsut end up removing the immo from the fuel pump and adding an ignition live to the stop solenoid. Does anyone know if there's a guide on here with pics to removing the immobiliser from the 2.1 Lucas pump? Or should I just bite the bullet and start looking for a cheap Bosch pump and injectors?

Stupid question, but you have tried the spare key and checked the immo aerial/ring is fine haven't you?

No spare key, and I have had the steering cowl off moving wires and bits and pieces closer to the key. I have had a quick check of the fuses, but will pull them all individually and see what I can find. I will have another play and see what I can find, it's just annoying as I had the immobilser pad disabled before the engine broke, as I had the same sort of problem when I first got the car. It's just like the code isn't working as I get the same lights lit up whether I put in the correct code or the wrong code.
