Well I was kinda expecting it:
Fuel Regulator - £119.15 +VAT - £142.98
High Pressure Pump - £454.93 +VAT - £535.12
plus diagnostics, plus labour (plus bloody VAT!)....

He's charged 7 hours labour including the diagnostics at £45/hour. I think that's quite fair actually 'cos he's done a lot of fault finding and a lot of work (I read on a Citroen forum that the pump alone is listed as a 6hr job).

Dread to think how much more it would've cost at a main stealer with their inflated labour costs and complete inability to fault find, they'd still be changing bits and charging me for the privilege

Dai, if I'm not mistaken, that's what you diagnosed, before you let them near it. Still, if they've 'only' charged you 1 hour over the minimum to swap the pump, I guess it could have been worse.
