Do you get the Honda Odyssey in the UK - drives like a car, crashes like a car, seats 7 in total comfort and looks bloody awesome! A late model Espace could be very cool....

Zafiras are ok - but the rear seats are next to useless. Same goes for a Grand Scenic.

iagree with you there ,
the Rear seats in the Zafs, are useless, not bad for children,
adults wouid want to get out & walk,- whay too Cramped in there !

the engines are not bad tho, not a bad Build for vauxhall,
id Prefare a Ford Galaxy (petrol) Anyday tho towards any other Mpv, altho there A tad thirsty -the Dervs are a slow norris and Noisy as feck,

tried a few Mpvs out japs ones and iwasnt impressed ,

my uncles previa is a great car, but as lozz may have once said it did happen last week, it went in for a service and the head gasket needs sorted, still though a lovely big comfortable well equipped car, great for passengers, with you own seat which will move forward and backwards the zafira is just cramped.
Although for ultimate mpv comfort the chrysler voyager is a step up from the previa, not as reliable but lovely comfy sofas for chairs, and a nice v6 soundtrack.

if i could get insurance for one i would also like a jag xj, a late 90s one, black the xj6 would probably do nicely (v8 just doesnt seem to make sense without the supercharger) with an lpg conversion of course. Theres something special about the shape of the old xj.

I sympathise Waue, but I also think you've spent a lot on stuff (impressive though it is) that didn't need doing.

My figure was the stuff that needed doing. Exhaust centre box for 1st MOT, rear caliper for this year, 2 services, cambelt was overdue as was over 10yrs old & water pump, aux belt & bottom pulley were done same time, air con condensor.

Didn't want to depress myself by adding the cost of all the other things like the SE interior, refurbed alloys & window tints (which I'd still have to do on any other car I bought).

when you said you had an accord coupe i just thought of a normal accord with 3 doors, but wow that thing actually looks good, its properly different from the accord saloon, and the bodyworks mint.

It's the 2 door of the US market Accord, so a bit bigger.

Bodywork isn't too bad, some small dints and scrapes expected for a 1999 car, but no rust (after the 406 rusty doors I looked hard).

Bit of a bugger to get parts for, I knocked a repeater off against that fence and the UK saloon repeaters wont fit, so hoping a breaker in England will get back to me, or it's the Honda dealer. MOT this week so it may fail on that

Yea, apart from the recent CRX they dont make any big coupes. No Prelude, Integra. US still has an Accord Coupe.

I think because it didn't sell well, they did like Vauxhall, Ford, Toyota and cancelled their coupes because everyone was buying German coupes

Not sure what I'd replace it with when the time comes. Maybe a 406 HDi coupe?
Or the new Laguna coupe is a bit Aston-ish (but scared of reliability....)

ihad a nosey at a few 406 coupes,
strangely theyre going for peanuts alot of car for the money tho, but icouidnt find one that iliked,
then i strayed onto the idea of the Hyundai coupe but changed my mind,
today i grabbed a Toyota celica St one of them Frogeyed things,
its well built solid and the engine is mint, one thing ididnt check was how many seats it had ibought it without thinking,
its only 4 seats ha but atleast its gota be better than the Vw polo ibought pile of shite that was

iwill be going back to a 406 eventualy but itl have to be an estate this time me thinks,

It was the early Celicas that were RWD. Supras too. Mk1 looks like a Mustang but v rare.

Nice cars Celicas, fancied one myself but its hard to get one locally that hasnt been ruined by some mouthbreather that has watched too many Fast and Furious films and thought "ME WANT".

GTV was a '4 seater' but was really a 2 seater with 2 child seats to put your lunch bag
Accord is a proper 4 seater but its huge.

as for the mk1 gt my cousin has one i thought at first it was a stag.
this one is rusted too badly to fix
