Nah I don't work for Peugeot. I do mobile diagnostics, key coding, electrical installations and things like that. So I subscribe to a few things to get information to aid me. But I do a lot of pro bono work on forums

21/11/2001 @ 39000km - ECU relay removed and replaced
27/12/2001 @ 40038km - Distrubutor replaced [not sure what that is ]
11/01/2002 @ 41273km - Engine wiring loom and sheath replaced
12/04/2002 @ 49500km - Fuel piping and pump replaced
10/06/2002 @ 53150km - Front brakes replaced
01/10/2002 @ 58500km - Cooling circuit replaced and Track rod arms replaced
08/06/2006 @ 132000km - BSI update
Was it in english Lee? Why do you think so many warranty replacements? Strange ones too - engine wiring, cooling circuit, fuel piping and pump (at 50000km!!!), ECU relay? And what are track rod arms?
Unlucky car or what?
Nah not really unusual, probably about average really. I've seen a lot of cars with more. Things like if its been in a accident or something, sometimes get listed too. Engine wiring could have been anything from a lose earth to a fried circuit that could have meant a new loom. The BSI update will have just been the bog standard software update to get rid of some glitchs/bugs
Track rod end is at the end of your steering rack looks like....

maybe this is why pp2000 can't connect to the engine ecu ?
how accurate is this information ? the car was sell in 25-05-2000 and in about 1 year the first owner did 40k km ?
The only reason why PP2000 wouldn't be able to connect to the ECU is if the immobilser hasn't been set up right so its not unlocking it, but then again if that was the problem the car shouldn't start. Unless a bypass unit is fitted.
It's the information stored on Peugeot's database, so its the same as what your local dealer will have on file.

I only have the white one, so I presumed I need to find the red one. The switch itself is red. Anyway, I just had the dash out to look, (I love the way there's part of the dash behind it so you can't see a damn thing ) - it just aint there, so I guess I need to run a wire from the ecu.

steve earwig, how can you have the red switch and not the cables ? mine doesn't have cruise from factory but it had all the bits pre installed, i just added the button and stalk, now its a matter of time and monetarily to be able to go programming the ecu for it
by the way

No worries mate, happy to help. Sorry about the registration thing.
If you were in the UK, I'd of turned you cruise control on for £20, but Portugal is a bit far Nice place though, love the Algarve
Thanks leehdi for the info! By the way strangely enough the registration number of my car is not the one you posted, BR320LR. It's slightly different. Is it possible that on Peugeot's database it is wrong?

Oh yeah Algarve, sadly i'm from PT and didn't had the chance to go .... bleh 20£ would be cheaper then what they charging here 43 EUR + VAT ( our name IVA) ( which is 23% )

Like with anything, the information in it has been put in by some human, so there is always the chance of a error
leehdi wrote:You can buy the red one from Peugeot for about £5
I'm not getting you, I have the switch but the wiring for it doesn't seem to exist in my car, unless it's in the trunking at the back of the dash and I'm not taking the dashboard out to check Not to worry, a job for when I'm (very) bored.

Wiring must have one end (connector) and another (ecu). Why don't you grab a multimeter and check if you can find a combination of connector pins/ecu wires with no resistance?
