well it was bound to happen

Post by DiscoPol »

some twat has caught the rear quarter of my shiny new C5 when he was parking and scratched it, luckily no dents just removal of some lacquer and a few scratches down to the primer (why white primer on a black car :? )

It was always going to happen as people here have a terrible attitude to other peoples possessions and lack even the most basic of driving skills but it still makes me really fecking angry

I think its time to start searching for the offender and some good shouting along with subtle physical intimidation might just be in order, probably wont get the repair paid for but i guarantee the stupid fuc&er will be more careful next time

Ack not the C5 :(

Hate that, especially when they don't leave a note.

Is it T-cuttable? Touch-up-pennable?

beyond T-cut and too big for touch up pens, its a body shop job i reckon, it wont be getting sorted unless i can find the culprit and force them into paying, which is unlikely to say the least.

I expected something like this as here every single car has battle scars, i will just wait till somebody rear ends me (it will happen  ) and get the whole job done on their insurance, it is just annoying as i have only had the thing about 8 weeks

6) Tighten vice until satisfied

Argh my ABSOLUTE hated worse thing

Try and buff it about a bit with polish, it won't go away but you will feel slightly better if you reduce the appearance of it.

(thanks for the new sig btw)

I can only imagine how annoying that must be, (never having owned a new car).

Go grind some Audis into the dust - won't do anything for the bodywork, but it usually brightens my day.

has anyone ever got someone to remove parking dents, is it possible?

you did ok disco, when my uncle got the hilux it got scratched on day 2, then after a week he hit one of them wee posts that stop you parking in a parking space, now there is a chip on a windscreen that turned into a crack.
