406 sri rev limiter fault??

Post by KuttingEdge »

Hey all,,

I have a 406 sri T which for some reason hard cuts the fuel at 4000 rpm...
Im inclined to say its not overboosting as it does it off load too..

any ideas what it may be? The speedo jumps about a bit, could it be related to that? (VSS)

Basically this engine is going into a 205, but i want to get it running right first.. If i cant, then il have to megasquirt it..

have you got anyway of finding what its boosting to so we can definatly cross that off the list think 7 or 8 psi should be the max on standard.
have you modified it in any way

Thank you for getting back to my post,,, I checked the boost and it was okay at 7.5 psi,,, however the wiring loom was a complete mess with burns and breaks in places so I am assuming that was the problem,, i have decided to make a new engine loom, and fit my Megasquirt 3.
