still its not so bad with a volvo being owned by ford, you could have a saab which has bits of vauxhall in it.

Owned by Geely now, who once submitted a car to EuroNCap and got 0 stars.

tata hasnt had a bad effect upon jaguar their new cars seem to be doing well, although the shape of the old xj i loved so much is gone.

but what i think is good about volvo is geely bought it saabs sale was so messy, they kept jumping about you were wondering have they been bought, is that them gone, is gm keeping them?

Loving the new XJ, looks very Citroen C6ish and a real breath of fresh air compared to the boring German boxes.

Saab was bought by Koeniggsegg, but it turns out they can't pay wages, so they look doomed.

Shame, I liked Saabs (and most of their drivers seem polite).

i know the new jag is a breath of fresh air, but i still like the old cigar smoke version. theres talk of a jaguar soft roader, which seems pointless as tata also has got land rover.

i dont know many saab drivers just one who drives a convertable and indeed quite polite.

They might have in terms of targeting buyers but the quality has suffered. Ford are bean-counting car builders, mine is littered with components bearing the FoMoCo stamp - turns my stomach when I see it :(

A very real example of this cost-cutting is the a/c condensers; for years Volvo conny's were long-lasting until Ford stepped in with a thinner grade/cheaper conny and guess what? they last about 20 minutes in the real world  my brake calipers are off a Mondeo :supafrisk: and my door cards are curiously similar to a Focus's although there's no actual Ford stuff in the cabin, which is nice.

Aren't Jag's still owned by the TATA Motor Co.? it doesn't seem to matter who sits in the chair overall :|
Nonsense! The T5's built awesomely!
Even crusing at 120mph you feel like your doing 5!
The T5 breaks are HUGE and come from a Focus ST none the less!!
Although I don't see how the T5's door cars are anything like the Focuses?
And every time I wind down the window I get a warm feeling inside, knowing I'm annoying every aston martin owner out there who's car has the same window switch :D

Got to be honest, I don't like the look of the new Jags. For years hatchback makers were trying to make them look like saloons with the little lips at the end of the boot - to give them the look of a prestige car.

Now the prestige manufacturer is trying to make their car look like a family hatchback. :?

my dream car is still the 1998/99/00 xkr in black, the best looking jag ever made.

but about the aston driver and volvo switch, will the aston driver be pleased about the volvo sat nav? ive never used it but reviews say its hard to use.
