Hell Yeah,
Tbh tho iwill never buy another saloon tho, not a keeper anyway,
still waiting on the 406 breaker idid a deal with - to be Sorted, theres a Dispute between owner & insurer at present,
once thats sorted and the car is here, il pick up an Estate with a knakerd engine,

iwill be keeping the celica tho its fun to drive iwill most probs just keep it as a Week-end car,

Quite fond of that Celica there, Lozz! Definitely not a fan of the exterior - it's too bland, but I love how simple and driver-oriented it is on the inside. Is it good to drive? 8)

Ha.
Not a fan of the Exterior of the celicas?
why?
theyre pretty cool kitted up and from a mile away if you sort of squint theres a bit of old porshe styling,
idont like the interior, the seats will be going in the skip very shortly,

There not a bad motor but after having all the models apart from phase 7 idont think this one feels like a celica,
its more like a Mazda 323 drive wise,

what sort of mpg would you get out of the celica.
i think the 406 still is the more aestetically pleasing car.

average around 29 - 32mpg, no way as cheap to run as the Hdi,
but, there is a Differnce, the 406 is like abowl of jelly compared to one of these,
the celica is a Stiff car, they hold the Road well, the 4o6 (Saloon) is too Twitchy for my liking hence me not having another one,
estate hopefully will be better .

A Celica of that era isn't the sharpest bit of kit to punt down a twisty back road. I'd go a MX5 hands down!

A stack of my friends have MX5's (which I have all driven) and they never cease to put a smile on my face. Even a base 1.6 with no PAS is a real joy to drive - i'd say up there with the likes of a 205 GTI. Given that they are Japanese, they won't break and the BP series engines are bulletproof - or when they do let go, they can be bought for a total song!

One of them looks identical to this one (same wheels)...

i really do want one, in dark green (so it looks a bit more manly), they are just such great fun, although they do sit in group 13 for insurance.
