Wouldn't recommend Sennheisers. Seem to be the "in brand" for audio fans, but in my experience they're flimsy and break too easily.

Reading this has made me realise how old my set up at home is, I've got a Kenwood separates system which I had for Christmas in 1991 or 2, with a couple of Sony Bits tagged on. Still sounds awesome! I play the TV / Sky / Blu-Ray through it too when I've got a film or music on. If I turn it up past about half way things start falling off the shelves in there :P , but these days it rarely goes past a quarter  . I likes it, I likes it a lot!

thats why i went for old pioneer seperates dia. to get sound as good as the old seperates in todays technology you would have to spend big bucks.

i got amp. cd player and digital tuner for £70, you cant beat that not in todays systems.

also got a pair of memorex 505 speakers with 15" woofers in. a trip up carlisle on saturday to collect them (its only 116 miles there)

i'm hoping it knocks picture frames of my neighbours walls.. thats the plan

went up carlisle today to get the memorex 505s. got home plugged them in amp and JEEZ. they are unreal how loud they are and quality.

would defo recommend them to any1. only downside to them is they are VERY BIG. they look a bit like pub speakers there that big.
