I once tried creating a disc image from the disc and then burning the image -- purely as a backup, you understand -- but it didn't work. Is there some special technique to it?

When I first got the car, the sat nav wasn't working so they agreed to get the unit in the boot cleaned. When I went to collect it at the end of the day they still hadn't got it working -- they were trying to use one of my music CDs in it! The disc had disappeared (it was there to start with), so they ended up buying me a new one!

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

No particular technique aside from ripping it to an iso and then burning the resulting image. When I got my car the sat nav disk was fairly scratched and if I parked on an unlevel surface would refuse to read, so I made a copy and run with the copy all the time with no issues.

:arrowu: As long as the Disc is made Boot-able it shouid work,
if not it wont Read,

Clone cd is needed ithink,
Nero is no good for this,

Ifound out all this when ihad a Blaupunkt Travel pilot, the disk was £150 to buy,
they did there best to get Round it not Reading anon original, but Clone cd sorted it,
