With my Orion, the extra 10% was engine oil in cylinder 3.

Re: The Focus is making a funny noise again...
Done another 120miles the last few days, mix between motorway, city and back country roads.
Give it beans a few times on the back roads and stuck to 60-70mph on the motorway. I tend to sit in the inside lane with the lorrys doing 60, then when I start to catch upto them, speed upto 70, overtake and then pull- back in and gradually let back down to 60.
And the car seems to be driving great?
The exhaust is on it's way out and has started droning, it's not blowing, just droning. I have a leaky inlet manifold which is also droning but other than that it seems great? It does sound very growly on full chat but it gets boring on the motorway. It dosen't start droning till 70ish though which is why I stick to 60 most the time.
Either way, going to get a inlet manifold off a 1.7 puma (bigger ports and it's metal not plastic) and fit it to mine. Also going to get the 1.8/2.0 focus airbox with the resonator to make it even quieter.
And then see about getting a new exhaust fitted.
I don't want to spend out on the car, but I aint allowed a new car till next May/June and I can't live with it droning on the motorway every day.

Had a good check over on the car today.
My outer mesh on the flexi of the exhaust isn't in great shape. One end it has frayed and the other is totally detached? I'm not clued up on how flexis work so I dunno what sort of effect this has?
I also found an oil leak... but I cannot work out where on earth it is comming from?
It seems to be comming from the bolts for the exhaust manifold?

And going back to the clikcing issue... is this normal?
Drivers side...

Passengers side...

Also found my inlet manifold leak...

That pipe goes from inbetween cylinders 1/2 to the inbetween of cylinders 3/4?
Other than that... no play or funny noises in any of the suspension.
Bailes.

Pishing oil all over the shop. The built in Ford obsolescence takes effect.
