At the last count i have over 40 visits to the Netherlands under my belt :supafrisk: , the vast majority of those are trips to Amsterdam and then either a few days there or a train out from central station to see friends in other parts of the country,

oh and its on my journey from Poland to the UK, I always find Holland a good place to stop as its 12 hours from Warsaw so roughly half way time wise when driving.

Cant think of anywhere better to stop off for a good nights sleep

I had my car in the airport long term for the past couple of days (was in Melbourne) and it started first go. Thing is, we had 250mm of rain when I was away - needless to say, I arrived back to a damp rear footwell!

Amsterdam is awesome - beautiful city! :cheesy:

Ha :D I know what I'd prefer!
And I'm off to Melbourne... got the worst flight imaginable- no way I'm going to drive it- I'll go up the day before and stay at Heathrow... Flight departs: 23:55 24/12/2011 and arrives in melbourne 00:00 26/12/2011... That's right Ladies and Gents- No XMAS for Hangar this year

405 will either be sold or scrapped by then

It's not that bad depending on what flight you get in and out of Australia - e.g if you get a 5:30pm flight ex Sydney, you get to London at approximately 6:30am - which means that if you get some kip on the plane, it's not that bad!

But 24 hours on a plane sucks!

Yea... I do the flights most years- I lose about 5 quality days in Australia to East-grain jetlag- then I come back here and I'm fine after a long nap... Great... Really works in the HOLIDAY'S favour there doesn't it?
Where abouts in Aus areya? my dad's lending me his 535i (e34) when he gets his M6 (e24) back on the road after xmas :D

++ a simple use of my observation skills and I can see you're in Sydney... work is killing me today! ++
