Who knows who then?
Just dawned to me when I thought about the meet at gaydon and watching teamster, doggy, disco and the rest tear it out of eachother on here all day-seems very much like the pub talk you observe between 2 old men that've been friends since before you gave a sh*t :-D

Re: Who knows who then?
lol, there aren't that many of us who have actually met, but I still consider lots of these guys to be friends.
I've known NeilDavies for many many years, long before either of us had 406s, and I know DarrenWall too 'cos hes a local boy.
I've met Lou (puggy) and Alex (CaptainJack) at a previous meet, thoroughly good chaps both of them!
That said, I could probably reel off at least a dozen others who I feel like I know well and wouldn't think twice about chatting with (or ripping the piss out of
) like old mates!

I don't know anyone on here (well except KrisB kind of) but you all seem nice enough so far! Shame the meet is so far away from Kent or I'd pop up!

Not met a single member as of yet but i agree completely with the sentiments of the other chaps, we spend a lot of time on here ripping the p1ss straight out of each other but i think we would all also feel more than happy to discuss more serious or sensitive issues if we had too.
I am thoroughly looking forward to Gaydon just so i can put faces to names and hopefully continue with the piss taking but this time in person
if your willing to wait a while i reckon Doggy will be along soon to either agree or disagree, you just have to give him a bit longer to answer as he is getting on a bit now

First person I met was Wasp, who kindly brought his PP2000 round a couple of times for me. I met Steve Earwig over Easter when he came round to drop off his old interior & met Doggy whilst I was working away a couple of months ago. All very nice people & we can all talk about more than just our cars too. Gaydon should be an enjoyable get together for all - even those that have no interest in motoring.

I'd agree with that too - I've met mjb, jasper5 & waue1978 in person, (& they're all thoroughly decent chaps). There's certainly a few others you feel you almost know.DiscoPol wrote:Not met a single member as of yet but i agree completely with the sentiments of the other chaps, we spend a lot of time on here ripping the p1ss straight out of each other but i think we would all also feel more than happy to discuss more serious or sensitive issues if we had too.

Been well impressed with the effort many of us will make to help each other out and provide a really valuable cost-saving resource for those discerning individauls who run a 406, or two.
I reckon this forum's great, because it's got a bunch of people who enjoy and more importantly, can take a joke as it's meant.

Re: Who knows who then?
I couldn't agree more with you all; there are very few places you can have a light hearted banter with people you've never met and consider them friends. I like it here, it's a good crowd
