This evening i put some fuel in , paid and then drove off , i noticed as i joined a dual
carriage way that i had left the fuel flap open , thought shite will have to remember to shut it . I
then wondered if airflow would shut it , It does , at 105 it shut with enough pressure to lock it

No Sam , HDI 110 re-mapped , 105 is when the flap shut and mine will easily do
a registered on the speedo 130

My old 406 didnt even have any clip to secure the fuel flap, so it just flapped about in the wind.

on one occasion my fuel flap was open and the mfd said this but that warning hasnt come up in a while.
as for top speed i did 88mph once and didnt like the way the mfd kept flashing dates and sparks whizzed up the sides of the car.

I didn't get banned but I got done just before Christmas for doing 80 in a 50, it's the only time I've gone way over the limit (which incidently isn't marked, you just have to "know" somehow ) for a couple of years and was actually keeping up with the traffic, rather than the usual where they're doing suicidal stunts to get round me the whole time

Actually having been banned twice in my time on the road , the first was for 2 yrs when i
was a biker in 1975 (not for drink driving) the second as stated above , i am very careful as a rule
to preserve my licence as i really do need my car

i know a friend who lost his licence 3 times in about 3 years he keeps getting it then getting drunk to celebrate and loosing the licence for drunk driving
