Hard, but not impossible. There are a lot of European Opel Zafiras floating around over here as they go back to the days when people over here could save a few thou by ordering their car from a dealer in Europe, but still getting it in RHD.

Even a 2.2 DTi isn't that special - standard Pug out-performs it in every way.

I was discussing the merits of the CDTI 150 with a disgruntled looking Saab owner t'other morning. I merely asked him if the 'Sport' badge meant it was assembled in Australia, or was it a detuned version to offer more of a challenge?
- There was absolutley no need for that kind of language.

Well, I agree torque is more important than BHP, but it's "usually" BHP output that will be the largest contributary factor to insurance price

I'm just a little annoyed at the cost of insurance for a family car (the 406) compared to what i'd class as performance cars

I've calmed down a bit since the other night
It's like, ok, i'm paying £700 to insure the plodmobile, but it never lets me down and I get on average 41.5mpg

Yes, I "could" insure say a Saab 9-5 HOT - the one with 250bhp, and save £300 a year on insurance
However I was talking to a guy today, who until recently owned one
He said you'd be lucky if the tyres lasted 12 months and they were £120 a pop, and he'd be lucky to get 300miles to the tank!!!

May still have another 406 - got a couple more quid again, so a 2002/2003 2.2HDi estate may be back on the cards - providing it's less than 2k
Can't be in next 3 weeks, as i've paid for my parking permit for my holiday now

I've been outbid on the 110 SE, but not that bothered
I did say i'd rather have a 2.2

Anyway, as I say, 2 weeks today i'm on holiday, so with the auction ending a few days before I go away, it probably would be a right mare sorting it out
