It will be that one then as I know like the 29f040 for example has some numbers after it.
The flash file is when you desolder the eeprom and plug it into a programmer

and do you possibly know what all the ecu bocsh numbers mean ie 0281 ...012...465 ,most ecus start with 0281 ,, but the other 2 sets of numbers are differnernt evern thow they off the same car, engine spec ?
so i need so emmprom flash next ?
Re: long shot 1.6 hdi 207/307 110bhp pinouts
You'll read the file and save it in either .ori or .bin
The kit will cost you in excess of £200. Cos you need a programmer, possible a pic adapter and a hot air station
They are just a bosch part number

Re: long shot 1.6 hdi 207/307 110bhp pinouts
ive got a few emmprom flashers here hee, which i mostly used for obd1/2 vws but im assumeing i need a differnert type/version ,do these come with the software to flash , if not were best place to buy it , ps ive managed to read th oringal bin file off the ecu and removed dpf , but carnt the immobilzer as yet , as my first plan was to swop it from one ecu to another ,as id personaly pref to refit the immobilzer code ,yet now ive also been advise that with the battery disconected the bsi control unit will have also lost its memory (stress if its not one thing its another buggar lol)and i dont have a key card regards recodeing the bsi , so question is , say i tempory keep the new ecu and leave immo off should the vechical still start?leehdi wrote:You'll read the file and save it in either .ori or .bin

It's all F's?
Can't you remove the immo coding for the time being and run the car with no immo until you can sort the coding?

I'm only just learning myself mate with regards to coding, and only know the odd bit.
I get one of my mates to do it normally, with regards to having a free running ECU
If you email me your dump, along with the full eeprom number and ECU number, I'll see if I can get the code edited for you

Re: long shot 1.6 hdi 207/307 110bhp pinouts
no joy on esp as yet,as i thought it was ecu codeing, so ive read my oringal ecu and code and writern it to my new ecu , which worked fine , but the esp fault is still there, just removing dpf from the ecu , then ill try to found out the esp fault , maybe abs unit with battery short/possible bsi codeing or steering codeing , ill plug the fault coder back in to see what things it shows ,(ill take some pics
ps found some decent software to read, write to the ecu
