Hey Neil, are you still using the usual 180 bhp map, with a few more goodies, or something a bit more extreme?Frenzy406 wrote:it's the 2.2 Hdi, running bout 200+bhp at th mo![]()

Hey M8 It's fine Lolsirwiggum wrote:Hey Frenzy406
Isnt it unfortunate when people take pictures of awkward situations!
Wouldn't mind seeing pictures of the front with the scooby FMIC
Sorry about the Golf Club. We were all obsessed with Golf here for a brief while after McIlroy and Clarke.
That has all died down now after the hangovers and the poor play in the Irish Open / WGC invitiational.

You, sir, are my new heroFrenzy406 wrote: Yes still using the usual 180 bhp map, with removed fap and cat, and stright thru rear box (wouldn't call it a silencer really lol ), then obviously the FMIC gets cooler and more oxygen into the cyl-s, so i bled the map sensor til the boost gauge was reading 1.75 Bar, altho later i found this to be contrary to a couple of ppl's advice not to exceed 1.5 Bar...
...in turn, and a few weeks down the line, i finally managed to blow my turbo on tuesday![]()
and had that lovely squeeze of getting behind the engine to replace it with the 1 off my old motor.
What a job ! What a pain for only 4 bolts, 3 nuts, and 4 jubilee clips !
And I'm hoping to do it all again when i can afford to have the old 1 Hybrid'd so it'll manage the extra boost without throwing compressor blades![]()
Hey, all in the name of power + economy + 7 seats + space like a van LOL![]()

i agree 100% with you there, but a lot of ruined 306 d turbos have stickers on the back window that have that essential equation the wrong way round.dogslife wrote: as cooler = denser = more oxygen = more poke / less smoke.
Yes as i suspected that my EGR was leaking/making a "she she she" kinda noise on higher boost, i recently disconnected the blue plug from the EGR valve solenoid, seeing that a lot do it on the 306 forums, then made a stainless steel blanking plate for the plenum chamber end of the pipe just to make sure...FarmerPug wrote:probably explains why none of them have any poke and you have to overtake them (very easily) to get out of their clouds of smoke.
what about the egr valve did you or frenzy406 remove them, i blanked it off on my hdi 110 would you say its a good thing to do?
