your right there, a far better looking car than the vectra, and the p12 primera, and the laguna, and the toyota carina.
the best part of the old c5 was the interior the seats were fantastically cushy and comfortable.

The xantia i think looks very sporty with all the pointy lines, i used to think it was what happened if lamborghini made a 4 door car.

Bosch - can be remapped to around 110
Siemens - can't do anything with it.

My ideal project car if I won a modest amount on the lottery would be to get a coupe with a buggered engine, a decent XUD, fit the latter into the former, and put on one of those Ferrari 360 bodykits.

Imagine this with an XUD clatter and running on veg oil :D :cheesy:

£1400 ????

Thieving gits offered me £1000 for my V-reg D9 1.8 saloon, and then told me that would be "minus the costs of the assessment" plus some other fees. I'd have ended up with closer to £800.

Take the money and run. With £1400 you could buy a decent 406. Treat yourself to a V6

2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

Everything is miles away from Exeter. I'm probably nearest & it'd still be a 90min drive. If you want a low mileage HDi you're probably going to have to travel for it.

Interesting autobox.

But no pictures of the nearside, which in pessimistic gumtree mode means huge dents / rust. :(

Looking at ...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-406-2 ... 19c63297cb

Or

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT

I'm still in shock at what i got offered, I only paid £850 for the car and its been mine for 2.5 years!

Needs to be a manual though, the other half doesnt like the idea of an automatic!

sorry i may have linked to a slushmatic i wouldnt like one with a hdi either, its a nice manual box and more economical, the auto is best left for the v6 and even then id still prefer a manual to make it howl a bit.

The first one theres nice but a biege interior is hard to keep clean, my cars only advantage is at least leather is easier cleaned than fabiric, a fabric biege interior would be a nightmare to keep looking fresh.
