I would think about getting my old pug back and swapping the interiors over, as i dont much like that colour and with a muddy collie wouldnt stay that clean for long!

With an autobox you've got kickdown, so I can still make the vtec scream. It also changes gear ridiculously fast for

ahem
fast getaways at the lights showing 316i owners the dust

£1400 - Result!

I saw a 2003 SE Estate with about 110k on it fetch just under £1100 last week - twas a petrol mind, but considering that's half the price you could pay for a decent HDi, the savings are there for the taking

That Rapier looks ok for the money - then again, I do have a soft spot for China Blue ;)

I think in this day and age - given the prices of 406's - go for the higher spec cars. There isn't much money between a GLX or a LX anymore, as the values of the cars have hit rock bottom.

Going to have goosey gander at the one in chatham - the guy is going to change the cam belt on it for another £50 on top so i thought that is good, plus the additional 3 months warrenty is good aswell!

The other one in whitstable the guy sounds a bit dodgy and doesnt know much about the car! Typical car seller from home me thinks!

Well just got in.

Impressed with the fuel economy - 45mpg at 80mph! Few issues to work on - some electrics to fix bits to re do and tart up - aswell as change the oils...

Ill try and get some pictures up later!
