most of the time my car only has 20/30 pounds of fuel in and i have never worked out how much it does to the gallon because i need the car so the fuels got to go in but a few weeks ago we had some tesco vouchers that gave us 15p a liter off so decided to fill it up well it cost me about 90 odd quid and i got about a tenner off so a decent saving.i did one long journey [round trip of about250 miles] and the rest is just normal running about now the gauge is about in the same place so i will have to but some in but its done about
****
now place your bets, dont no if i should be pleased or not.
Working on the consumption in my 1.9 from full to red light with a nice 250 mile motorway drive thrown in I'd expect to be in the high 400's, maybe just tipping over into the 500's if I hadn't been too silly with the loud pedal. A 2.1 will be a little bit more thirsty so I'll go with 490 ?

I usually manage 750-800 miles to a tank, around 50 mpg as stated in the sig. But I'm a very fuel conscious driver 90% of the time. The rest 10% is fun.

Yeah definitely. I guess it's almost impossible to get more than 650 from a TD?
