Electric window switch

Hi all

Having problems with my window switch it seems to be having a mind of its own. How easy itis it to remove ? I seem to remember reading a thread on it being a common fault and that it is possible to clean it. I cant find the thread am i dreaming ?
Or can it be fixed.
