so far i have had rain almost constantly whilst driving but when we have stopped for a day out in Berlin and the last couple of days here in Holland its been lovely, between 23 and 26 and clear sunny skies so i am hopeful but bare in mind when im coming to the meet im coming from Manchester and its not exactly renowned for hot sunny climes o if its Manc weather i bring i apologize now if its sunny i will be taking all the credit :cheesy:

oh and the drive has been great but the car has been a nightmare :( stories of woe and expense to follow

see you all Saturday, cant wait and the BBQ is good work Doggy well done mate.

I'm coming from just up the road from Manchester so it better not be raining :D

They open at 10 so thats when I'm probably going to turn up. Maybe earlier.
Acording to google maps it's a 2 hour and 40 min drive for me. I'm leaving at 7 giving me 3 hours. Usually I can beat google maps times though.
Told me 55 mins to get to Dai Rees house, did it in about 40

I am, but now it's got a new battery & I have a car charger, so should be OK

Having said that, it can't hurt if you want to bring it along

Not desperately  it also means I'd have to buy petrol for the first time since 2004.

I plan on being there for 10 am, have we got a location for an early breakfast and convoy in?
as for how late im staying at the moment i have a clear day so was planning on doing 10 till 4 minimum, i reckon there is good couple of hours in the heritage centre itself,

now the issue of BBQ, i have no equipment i can bring as its all back in Poland but a few bangers and some bread i can do, who is going to bring the BBQ itself or are we going down the route of disposable ones?

I will be alone i reckon as the wife doesnt fancy another 6 or 7 hours in the car after our trip across europe for some reason so in some ways thats not a bad thing.

Worked a little on my car yesterday to prepare for the meet.

1) Fixed the cruise control (loose brake pedal switch connection)
2) Fixed-ish the rattle from the steering wheel airbag. Put some subwoofer box cover cutouts under the springs and they help but still rattles sometimes when the car is at biting point. Anyone had this problem/solution?
3) Wiped off the massive bird poo (a la Top Gear style) from the boot that accumulated while I was on holiday and washed the car (never park under a lamp post)
4) Remapped it back to 140-whatever bhp

Speaking of - should I bring my Galetto cables? I'll have my laptop anyway.... I have 2 remap files for HDI, one for '99 model (nutski's) and the other for my '02. So, if you happen to have the same ECU version as either of these, then you leave with a more powerful (but smokier) car.

Also, anyone with some experience of removing not-very-big parking dings?

You can have a ride in mine, on two conditions:
1). I accept no responsibility if you become fixated on 180 horses / 400 Nm.
2). Sorry, no giraffes.
