Post by parcelman »

hi guys, when i press the clutch pedal in it sqeaks from the engine bay,i got an assistant to press the pedal for me and noticed the sqeak coming from either the slave cylinder or the fork, are the slave cylinders prone to this or is it on the way out,any advice will be welcome.

almost definatley would be the clutch release bearing fork... they get coked in powdered clutch lining material, trouble is you cant really grease them or clean them up while the gearbox is in situ without the risk of contaminating the clutch plate linings

First of all try greasing the operating rod, especially where the rod bears on the fork...there is a ball joint there that goes dry and needs a spot of grease every now and then.
