A grand perhaps? It looks very tidy but it is an SRI after all, petrol 2.2, not a diesel.

Hate to depress you, but here's what guides say:
http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/index.jsp?g ... 5&x=34&y=3
You'll have to go through the process to see the price, but http://www.networkq.co.uk/buying/value-your-car/ which uses Glass's gives it £385-560.
From experience of seeing them on Ebay I've seen good ones go for £600, but bearing in mind how hard it is to find a good car for a grand these days, I would hope that you shouldn't have much trouble finding a buyer if it was in Auto Trader for a little over a grand. For a quick sale, put it in as £995 to get in more search results, but don't move too much on the price.
Massive difference in value (percentage wise) between part ex & selling yourself, so if you can go without a car or borrow one for a couple of days it would probably be better to sell yours then take the cash to go shopping for the new one. With the new rule on insurance it just isn't practical to buy the new car & then sell the old one anymore & I suspect that the dealers probably cash in on this by offering silly part ex prices too.
I know you're looking to sell to save money, but I have a horrible feeling that you'd end up saving bugger all by changing at the mo.
If you do get into the position that you have to part ex though, post on here first because it'd be a safe bet that somebody on here would offer you £100 on top to take the car off you which would at least cover the first month's fuel in the new one.
